The Crumbtrails Origin Story

We made my Dad start a milkshake review channel, really just because it was a fun idea. Since then, it has been a fun excuse to gather with friends and family and get out of the house to spend time together. As Brian’s Milkshake Reviews turned into a larger catalogue of videos documenting his fun evenings, I wanted a way to display all the reviews on a living map. I thought it would be a cool way for me and his other fans to engage with the reviews, and it would certainly be a fun way to find a place to get a strawberry milkshake :) Unfortunately, making this map was a bit trickier than expected. I needed a database, coding, domains, blah blah BLAH!

Well, eventually what I realized is that I didn’t want to just build Brian’s map, but a tool for people like Brian to be able to make their own. So Crumbtrails was born! A service to help bring YOUR reviews to a live customizable map, something that you can easily link in your social media.
